People Are Putting 'Star Wars' Into Other Films

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens on Thursday. Obi-Wan Hates AKA Force Push started as a YTMND fad using an exploitable scene taken from the 1999 film Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. One more for all those haters who just can't seem to get behind what "The Mouse" is doing to the Star Wars franchise and would relish the opportunity to see an angry Wookie get after JJ Abrams and the rest of team over at Disney.

Darth Vader is without a doubt one of the coolest cucumbers to ever set foot on Korriban and a lot of that dark side chic can be attributed to the incredible soundtrack that accompanied him everywhere he goes. Throughout the Star Wars movies, we are introduced to powerful villains like General Snoke, Darth Vader, The Emperor, Kylo Ren, and many more.

Another example is when in case of an action that would otherwise be ethically questionable, Palpatine will legitimize it solely on the basis of his absolute authority, declaring ‘I will make it legal.' Memes referencing ‘Order 66'- Palpatine's secret military strategy to exterminate all Jedi in the galaxy - are particularly worrying, as they are Meme used to fantasize about or even celebrate both the actual purge of the Jedi and hypothetical purges of all kinds.

Even though Darth Vader may have won the battle with Obi-Wan Kenobi in A New Hope, it would be the Jedi who win the war against the Sith Lord when a Jedi trained Luke came back to take down his father. Many Facebook pages contain the suffix "-core" presumably to both differentiate it as a meme site as well as making a reference to the Episode I character Boss Nass' delivery of the like "the planet core" (shown below).

If he would've tarnished the legacy of his predecessors, he would've gone down in history as a blight on the history of the franchise as big as the floppy-eared amphibian who was so reviled that rumors spread through the internet like wild fire that he simply walked off a cliff at the beginning of episode 2. Not only did people believe the rumors, they rejoiced.

Oh, you know, May the Fourth, aka May the Force, aka May the Force be with you — or, as some would call it, Star Wars Day. The stormtroopers are a wellspring for Star Wars memes. He also directed Episode VII, Star Wars - The Force Awakens. Thankfully, we don't consult the Star Wars franchise for lessons in logic or search every single line for contradiction (we're sure you could find plenty).
